Leeds United v. Chelsea
Leeds have been dreadful recently, losing 4 of their last 5 league matches and failing to score in 3 of the past 4. Marcelo Bielsa will be wondering what happened to his side as they used to be rather prolific in front of goal. Chelsea have looked to be a different team under Thomas Tuchel and their commitment to defense has been stellar thus far. Chelsea have kept clean sheets in 4 straight games in all competitions and are unbeaten in 12 straight in all competitions. When a team struggling to score goes up against a team that rarely concedes, there is only one result.
The Bet: Chelsea to Win
Prediction: Leeds United 0-2 Chelsea
Crystal Palace v. West Bromwich Albion
Crystal Palace got played like a grand piano last time out as Tottenham trashed them 4-1. Palace can blame the poor result on their slew of injuries, but even when healthy this year Roy Hodgson’s squad has been quite poor. West Brom continue to struggle through every game they play regardless of the opponent. They have ensured some needed draws recently but their inability to score has consistently plagued them this season. Palace will want the points for safety while West Brom knows it's destined to play second tier football next season.
The Bet: Under 2.5 Total Goals, Game to End in a Draw
Prediction: Crystal Palace 1-1 West Bromwich Albion
Everton v. Burnley
Everton is still in a position to make European football next season a real possibility, and that would be momentous for a club considered second best in their own city for decades now. A 2-0 loss to Chelsea is their most recent result but 3 wins in their past 5 means their form is better than their last game indicates. Burnley is still technically in a relegation battle but Sean Dyche knows a few more points here and there can ensure their safety. Burnley have been a draw merchant recently, sharing points in 4 of their past 5, and would leave Goodison Park more than content with another even finish. Everton will gun for the win while Burnley will try their hardest to keep it close.
The Bet: Burnley to Cover 1.5 Goals
Prediction: Everton 1-0 Burnley
Fulham v. Manchester City
Fulham is on a fantastic run of form considering their position in the table. The recently promoted London squad is in a fight to stay up and their win last time out against Liverpool might be the flashpoint that leads them to safety. Beating a banged up Liverpool squad is a heck of a lot different from facing the best club football team in the world in Manchester City. City saw their massive win streak snapped last weekend at the hands of their crosstown rivals United, but they followed it up with a 5-2 dismantling of Southampton midweek. Squad rotation will likely be due for Pep Guardiola but when your transfer budget is over $100 Million a year, you don’t have to worry about having a weak bench. Fulham is flying and will fight like hell but their only hope is to keep it close.
The Bet: Fulham to Cover 2.5 Goals
Prediction: Fulham 1-3 Manchester City
Fantasy Premier League (FPL) Transfer of the Week: Callum Hudson-Odoi, W/WB, Chelsea
Considered a wonderkid by some, there has never been a question of Hudson-Odoi’s potential, but under Thomas Tuchel it's his current status that deserves praise. Hudson-Odoi has found a place in Tuchel’s 3-4-2-1 as a hybrid wing back that attacks from out wide but also supports in midfield. His creativity has started to shine through and a game against Leeds is an amazing opportunity to show speed and skill on open play counter attacks which are likely to be plenty.
