Best Future Bets (Odds Courtesy of FanDuel):
Chelsea to Win the League (+470)-The addition of Romelu Lukaku fills out what is already an amazing team. With a proven #9 who is a clinical striker, Chelsea has addressed their only hole and a full year with Thomas Tuchel at the helm will be all they need to add to their growing trophy cabinet
Southampton to be Relegated (+380)-Some would view this as a bold and foolish pick but I think it has great value. The Saints finished 15th last year but limped through the latter half of the season. Their form under manager Ralph Hasenhüttl was poor to end the year and this summer they lost their only true goal scorer, Danny Ings, and one of their best central defenders, Jannik Vestergaard.
Crystal Palace Top-Half Finish (+430)-This is another aggressive future. Some smart bettors have backed Palace to be relegated but I think things are looking up for the Eagles. They had a great summer window, securing signings of young players who can contribute right away, and they finished last season with one of their crucial forwards, Christian Benteke, in good form. I think Wilfried Zaha has a bounce back season and Eberechi Eze returns from injury ready to create from the #10 role. Oh, and they got rid of the walking corpse of Roy Hodgson and hopefully have a new manager who can play more forward football.
Brentford Top Promoted Team (+110)-This is a chalky pick but with only 3 teams to choose from it is the obvious selection. Brentford have a proven goal scoring striker in Ivan Toney who led the second division in goals last year. They have strong two-way midfield players and they bolstered their back line in the summer window. They are leaps and bounds better than both Watford and Norwich City.
Leicester City Top-6 Finish (-125)-This is another pick that is fairly obvious. Leicester has cemented themselves as one of the most consistently good teams in the Premier League. They were in the top-4 for more minutes than every team in the league last year not named Manchester City, who ran away with the league title. The preseason injury to Wesley Fofana hurts their backline but the addition of Patson Daka to the frontline gives them 3 strong goal scoring options which is needed in the Premier League when fatigue and fixture congestion can catch up to teams, especially those in European competitions like the Foxes.
