Chicago Cubs v. Pittsburgh Pirates
Projected Starters: Jake Arrieta v. Tyler Anderson
The Cubs have had a tough start to the season hitting wise but their pitching has been pretty solid. Arrieta will make his second start of the season since his return to Chicago and he threw 6 scoreless innings last time out. The Pirates have been awful so far this season and are currently in a 5 game losing streak which I expect the Cubs to extend to 6.
The Bet: Cubs Moneyline
Boston Red Sox v. Baltimore Orioles
Projected Starters: Eduardo Rodriguez v. Matt Harvey
Rodriguez will be making his first start for the Red Sox in nearly 2 years after missing all of last season due to lingering Covid-19 problems. This is a big moment for him and you can’t help but root for the kid to succeed after all he has been through. Matt Harvey, who is on a redemption tour of his own making, will make his second start of the season for the Orioles. He had a solid first go around only allowing 2 runs against this same Boston team.
The Bet: Under 9.5 Total Runs
Milwaukee Brewers v. St. Louis Cardinals
Projected Starters: Corbin Burnes v. Adam Wainwright
The Brewers enter this game on a short 2 game winning streak despite only averaging 3 runs per game in the early goings. St. Louis dominated Miami yesterday to extend their own winning streak to 3 games. Wainwright takes the mound in the Cardinals home opener and despite his poor first start earlier this season I think he tosses 6 strong innings today and sets the table for an upset win.
The Bet: Cardinals Moneyline
Oakland Athletics v. Houston Astros
Projected Starters: Cole Irvin v. Cristian Javier
Oakland picked up its first win of the season last night in comeback fashion over the Dodgers. The Athletics forced Kenley Jansen into a blown save and then won in extra innings. That type of win can really get a team going after early season struggles so don’t be shocked if they play confident baseball today. Neither team is starting a strong pitcher this evening which leads me to believe the over will hit in such a batter friendly ballpark.
The Bet: Over 9.5 Total Runs

White Sox & Twins to Win
Both of these two teams are the class of their division and both get solid matchups at home today.
