New York Yankees v. Baltimore Orioles
Projected Starters: Deivi Garcia v. Matt Harvey
The Yankees have been a massive disappointment this season but this upcoming series against Baltimore will give them a chance to right the ship. Tonight, New York throws out Garcia who will be making his first start of the season, while the Orioles toss out the veteran Matt Harvey who will need to bring his A game to keep the Yankees big bats quiet. I doubt either pitcher will twirl a gem which could result in a lot of runs being scored in the Inner Harbor tonight.
The Bet: Over 9.5 Total Runs
Chicago Cubs v. Atlanta Braves
Projected Starters: Zach Davies v. Charlie Morton
Both the Cubs and Braves enter this game having been shutout in their last game. Both teams are also under achieving with below .500 records and a big reason has been inconsistent hitting. Tonight both sides will toss out capable starting pitchers who should have a rather easy time keeping this game close and low-scoring.
The Bet: Under 9.5 Total Runs
Oakland Athletics v. Tampa Bay Rays
Projected Starters: Sean Manaea v. Rich Hill
Oakland saw their massive win streak get snapped yesterday at the hands of the Orioles but tonight they will get a chance to start anew against another AL East opponent. The Rays also lost yesterday as they were shutout 1-0 by the Blue Jays. Manaea is the Athletics stop arm and he will start opposite Rich Hill, who has a decorated career but is pretty washed up at this point in time.
The Bet: Athletics Moneyline
Miami Marlins v. Milwaukee Brewers
Projected starters: Trevor Rogers v. Corbin Burnes
Milwaukee sits in first place in the NL Central right now and a big reason why is their pitching. The Brewers are tied for 3rd in the league in runs allowed and Burnes, who starts tonight, has been unhittable this year. Corbin Burnes has a 0.37 ERA across 3 starts with a 40/0 K/BB ratio. Tonight, Burnes has a very good chance at extending those numbers against a weak Marlins squad who ranks in the bottom half of the league in runs scored.
The Bet: Brewers Runline
Philadelphia Phillies v. St. Louis Cardinals
Projected Starters: Zach Wheeler v. Adam Wainwright
Philly enters this game looking to rebound from a 12-2 smacking dealt to them by Colorado yesterday. The Cardinals, meanwhile, enter this game fresh off a series sweep over division rivals Cincinnati. Tonight's starting pitcher matchup features two strong veteran arms going head-to-head but to me there is a clear advantage to Philly. Wheeler has had a very solid start to the season, posting a sub 4.00 ERA over 3 starts, while Wainwright has posted an ERA north of 5.00 to go along with an 0-2 record. In what Vegas views as a toss-up, I am rolling with the road team.
The Bet: Phillies Moneyline
