San Diego Padres v. Pittsburgh Pirates
Projected Starters: Blake Snell v. Chad Kuhl
Padres won this same game yesterday by a score of 6-2. San Diego is 8-3 on the season and even without Fernando Tatis Jr they still look extremely intimidating. Pittsburgh is a dreadful 3-7 and can’t hit or pitch. Their runs scored and runs allowed both rank 23rd in the MLB and I don’t see them turning around either stat today when they go up against the Padres ace, Blake Snell.
The Bet: Padres Runline
Seattle Mariners v. Baltimore Orioles
Projected Starters: Nick Margevicius v. Dean Kremer
This game was supposed to go down yesterday but inclement weather in Baltimore had it postponed. Both of these teams are fairly weak and own .500-ish records. Either team could win this game but the over looks like the best bet. Each team ranks in the top 15 in the MLB in runs scored while ranking in the bottom 10 in runs allowed.
The Bet: Over 8.5 Total Runs
Philadelphia Phillies v. New York Mets
Projected Starters: Aaron Nola v. Marcus Stroman
The Phillies are shockingly the best team in the NL East at the moment while the Mets are below .500. Bullpen issues have plagued New York this season but tonight they get the benefit of having a starter on the mound who could give them 7 strong innings. Stroman is 1-0 with a 1.50 ERA in the early going. Aaron Nola has also looked strong after his first start despite getting the no decision.
The Bet: Under 8.5 Total Runs
Cincinnati Reds v. San Francisco Giants
Projected Starters: Luis Castillo v. Kevin Gausman
As long as sportsbooks keep underestimating the Reds I am going to keep betting on them. Cincinnati is 7-3 and still has the top offense in the big leagues. They were underdogs last night and came through with a 3-0 win. Tonight their ace, Castillo, is on the mound and the line is still at a Pick ’Em.
The Bet: Reds Moneyline
